My Approach
I work relationally & collaboratively and seek to meet all my clients wherever they may be in the moment. As a trauma specialist, I utilize a compassionate, trauma-informed, and social justice-oriented lens to understand each individual’s intersectional experience in their particular life context.
To me, the therapeutic alliance is a uniquely sacred space to heal by connecting to oneself & to another. I was lucky enough to find my own healing connection with my therapist when I was 14; it is her endless patience, authenticity, & love that I now carry into sessions with my own clients.
I am so grateful to share in my clients’ journeys of self-discovery, and consider it the ultimate privilege to bear witness to their growth.

Talk Therapy
In talk therapy, we will spend time building a warm & nurturing therapeutic alliance through which we can discover together what works for you and what needs adjusting.
I integrate elements of Relational Gestalt, Internal Family Systems/Parts Work, Existential, and Narrative therapies to help clients grow their awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I believe that effective & meaningful change comes naturally when we accept who we are & where we are in the present moment.

EMDR Therapy
Trauma occurs when we experience ongoing or single-moment events that overwhelm our internal & external resources and our capacity to cope. We often walk away from traumatic experiences carrying inherited ‘problem’ stories about our value, safety, agency, & power that impact how we interact with ourselves, others, & the world around us.
EMDR Therapy is an evidenced-based trauma therapy modality. Through the intentional application of bilateral stimulation, I help clients find ways to establish comfort, control, acceptance, & meaning as they process their relationship with trauma.

Play Therapy
Our imaginations are the source of incredible healing. Sometimes, though, circumstances outside of a child or adolescent’s control make it hard for them to access their inner world.
Using the framework of the Oaklander Model of Gestalt Play Therapy, I help kids & teens foster joy, rebuild authentic connections with their sensory & emotional experiences, and develop stronger & more confident senses of self. Play Therapy interventions are not limited to children & adolescents - I can incorporate expressive arts & creative experimentation into sessions with adults to support their inner child.
